“Dolce was rescued by Peace4Paws in February of 2023.. We took her from the Brooklyn animal shelter -where she was HOURS away from being euthanized. They said she was way too dog aggressive and reactive to be adopted. Thankfully we continued to rescue her and as soon as she got to the boarding facility – she was SUPER friendly, loving, and LOVES other dogs!”
It’s just another sad example of how stressful those shelters are for the poor dogs. There isn’t much info on her life prior to being picked up by the Brooklyn Animal shelter, they found her on the side of the road! Sadly, Dolce spiraled downhill and they had to say goodbye.
“This is the absolute hardest part of rescuing dogs, all that matters is she received all the love she could before she went. We would much prefer she goes this way instead of being euthanized at the NYC shelter (like they were going to before we pulled her), because then she would’ve left this world without ever experiencing loving pets, cuddles, and unconditional love. We forever love you Dolce❤️”
HWAH provided a $ 1,000 grant towards the medical and vet expenses.
Thanks to YOUR generosity, our HWAH K-9 & Kitty Medical Miracles Fund was able to help Dolce get the medical care she desperately needed before she passed in the arms of her rescue family.
