Sips For Seniors – Springtime Edition

Mar 10, 2020 | Events, K-9 Medical Miracle

I am writing to you on behalf of House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary to request your support for the “Sip for Senior – Springtime Edition” event to raise money for the K-9 Medical Miracle Fund. The event will be held on Sunday, April 26th, 2020 from 6-9pm at the Olney Winery in Olney.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our cause by donating items for our Silent Auction for our Sip for Senior Dogs event. Here is the link to our Wish List for this event: Sips For Seniors Springtime Fundraiser List

In return for your donation, we would like to offer recognition through any promotional material we hand out. Please contact Lori @ hwah.lori@yahoo.com for more information and a donation form.

House with a Heart is home to 10 senior and special needs dogs, 2 senior cats and 8 forever fosters. The Sanctuary was created in 2006 by Sher Polvinale and her late husband Joe. Sanctuary residents are dogs and cats who have lost their families and homes through no fault of their own. Because of their advanced age and various medical conditions, they have little chance of being adopted. Once a dog became a resident, it would have a loving home for life.

The Sanctuary’s 2020 mission is to provide a “Helping Hand” to 12+ yr old dogs that have been abandoned in shelters. We are partnering with local rescues and providing the necessary medical care to help them find their forever home. The program is called our K-9 Medical Miracle Fund.

We are having this event to raise money for this fund so we can continue Saving Seriously Senior dogs like 13 year old Bear who was dumped off at the Sanctuary with no history or reason. He received the medical care he needed and is now living a pampered life in his new forever home.

On behalf of the senior dogs, thank you very much for your consideration of our request. Please feel free to contact me at hwah.lori@yahoo.com if I can be of assistance.

Sincerely,

Lori Whitehurst, Assistant Director
