I’m going to tell you a story about a dog named Ciroc! Ciroc is one of our newest residents, along with his Mom, Bella, and brother Hudson.
After Dental surgery for Bella and Hudson, our extraordinary Volunteer, Maria, offered to spend the night to help keep a close watch on the pups during their recovery time.
We got Maria all set up on the comfy couch, and she snuggled in to sleep with multiple doggies. The following day, she reported that Ciroc couldn’t settle. He was up and down and in and out of the covers most of the night.
On several other nights, when I was off trying to sleep, snuggled up to Joie, Ciroc would bark one of those loud and clear barks, saying, “I need HELP!” I would run down the stairs as quickly as possible only to find him upside down in a fake tree container, stuck under a table, behind the couch, and finally, behind the barrier to the fish aquarium!
So last night, I slept on the couch. I was immediately surrounded and covered by Ciroc, Bella, Hudson, Tillie, Toby, Piper, and visiting Lucy. All was well for about 20 minutes until Ciroc launched off the couch, started tossing pillows off all the chairs, running back and forth from the kitchen, doing Zoomies in the Doggie Den, and trying once again to get under the Aquarium. After too long with these antics, he finally pounced on top of us, threw himself upside down, and almost immediately was sound asleep as if nothing weird had occurred.
I think tonight, a dose of Trazodone might be in order!!! LOVE HIM ANYWAY!!!
Hoping for sweet dreams tonight!!! Hugs and HOPE XXXOOOsher
