Sookie is a sweet and gentle girl who is calm and easygoing, and she’s adorable with one ear up and one ear down! Sookie is 15 years young and weighs about 20 lbs. We think she looks like a beagle or Russell terrier mix. She came to Canines & Kitties when her owner could no longer care for her.
Sookie loves being petted and meeting new people. She is a great work from home companion as she is quiet and is content to spend most of the day lounging. She prefers to stay off of furniture – we think she wasn’t allowed on furniture in her previous home, so she’s more comfortable in a dog bed or crate. She’s a couch potato (without the couch, so just a potato), but has briefly shown a playful side on occasion, including when she went outside in the snow! She loves her food (kibble) and treats and is not picky.
She does well with the other dogs in her foster home and the previous owner reported she was good with children and cats too. She has neutral feelings about the other dogs in the home, so she would probably also be fine as an only dog.
Sookie doesn’t ask for much – she just wants to be safe, loved, and have access to soft dog beds or blankets!
Sookie is up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
