Paka

In a culture that is obsessed with youth, and equates youth to beauty and relevance, Paka is here to demonstrate that gray faces are JUST as beautiful. Gray faces represent lives well lived, lives full of experiences, and lives filled with wisdom. She is here to show the world that senior dogs are just as capable and deserving of love as any other young puppy.

We don’t know what Paka’s life before rescue was like. She is missing a piece of her left ear. Her canines are all filed down. But those imperfections give her character, and she wears these imperfections with pride. She greets everyone with her gentle wet nose and soft tail wag, even at the vet office! She is gentle, graceful, and affectionate (but never in an overwhelming way). She is great with every dog, human, child, and even cat she has ever met. Wild bunnies, however, she is determined to keep out of her yard.

Our vet estimates her to be about 10 years old and in perfect health. She tips the scale at 54lbs and is a low energy girl (except when it comes to bunny chasing). She is the easiest girl who is adaptable to any situation. She is perfectly potty trained, walks beautifully on the leash, and never needed to be crated because she’s perfect. Not much faze her, except thunderstorms. Those are super scary and she’ll hide in the bathroom to stay safe.
