Can you believe our Piper has now been with us for 11 years?! If you’re not familiar with Piper’s story, scroll no further! (And check out the comments for some bonus Piper Puppy pictures .)
“Piper was born into a big litter of pups but it was clear that she was different from the rest… she was smaller than her brothers and sisters and was not developing at the rate that she should. She was 6 pounds at 6 months old and her owner realized that she had a myriad of issues. Their vet recommended euthanasia because she was not thriving and since we specialize in senior and special needs pets, they came to us for hospice care.
Everyone immediately fell in love with this precious girl!!! Even though she was so small, she had an immense presence and an equally impactful personality. She didn’t dare leave this world after experiencing the love we had to give her!
Piper had many veterinary hospital visits but as time went on she got stronger and healthier. She grew into that small and frail frame of hers and is now as healthy as can be!! She is one of the most beloved pups at the sanctuary, both amongst humans and residents. Piper loves to play, give kisses, roll in the grass, and so much more! We love her so much and are so happy that she found her ‘furever’ family at House with a Heart.”
~Thanks to our supporters donations, we are able to give our residents the excellent medical care that they need and help them thrive during their golden years~
