Meet Dixie, she is the 14 year old Shih Tzu that lost her mom and found herself in a shelter which is turning out to be a blessing in disguise because two of her moms friends want to take her in.
From Lorraine’s Legacy: “I am all for that with the condition that we take care of her medical needs first. It would be easy for me just to hand her over but that’s not what we do. We find them and fix them when medically necessary, which is her case. Her bloodwork came back good enough to do the two procedures she needs. The first to be done is her spay and mammary mass removals, there are many, and spay was on May 9th. Her 2nd procedure was her dental on the 23rd of May.”
is one of the sweetest souls I have come across. She is waiting patiently to get her incision looked at to make sure it’s healing properly. She had her dental 
on the 23rd of May 2024 and 2nd mass surgery was on June 3rd . This lil lady is keeping me busy for the next month with appts but that’s ok as she will feel better and be mass free.HWAH provided a $ 1,000 grant towards her medical and vet bills
