ROSCOE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.
For my Montgomery Co. friends – a story about a delightful little fellow Friends of Allegany County Animal Shelter rescued recently. This is the group I volunteer with as we help rescue and rehome cats and dogs from the Cumberland Shelter.
Meet Roscoe. He is about five years old and a Cairn Terrier mix. Both his human parents passed away and their family could not take Roscoe. He was sick and they didn’t want the responsibility.
The truth was, Roscoe had a hernia that caused excruciating pain when he toileted; he wasn’t absorbing calories and was losing weight rapidly. FOACAS took him in and raised $10,000 in 24 hours to get him surgery. He recovered at Leashes End and is now fully thriving. He loves people and other dogs. The founder of Leashes End, says Roscoe is adorable, a charmer, a happy bouncy boy who needs a happy family.
HWAH provided a $ 1,000.00 grant towards his hernia surgery.
Thanks to YOUR generosity, our HWAH K-9 & Kitty Medical Miracles Fund was able to help Roscoe get the medical care he desperately needed
