Very busy week at House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary. We attended a celebratory dinner for being a 2022 recipient of the the Thomas E Quade Foundation Iris Award. Sher is so grateful to be able to continue saving senior dogs. Thank you John, Emily, Maria and Jen for representing our sanctuary.
The Thomas E. Quade Foundation was established to identify, recognize and give cash grants to those “no kill” shelters that exhibit management efficiency, cleanliness, well-being of its residents, and equally important, a total devotion to the loving care of animals.
Since the general public doesn’t have the time to research animal shelters before making donations, the foundation does extensive research, including physical visits, to determine which shelters best meet the criteria.
Mr. Quade, and his love for animals, carried us to this Foundation establishment. In his honor, his granddaughter, Kara and her Team, have continued his Legacy.
