It’s the final day of our “12 Days of Christmas” feature and what better way to wrap up the series than with adorable Candie!
This 11-year-old Yorkie came to HWAH when her owner had to go into a nursing home. We thought she would be able to quickly be adopted into a new home, but as we began the necessary medical checkups, we learned that was not likely as Candie has eye disease that will require medication for life. She also has kidney disease, heart disease and terrible dental disease. We’re so pleased Candie has recently gone to live with Dr. Michelle as her Forever Foster.
Candie is often a quiet, easy-going, well-behaved, crazy photogenic pup. But she also has moments of looking you right in the eye and barking so hard that her front feet come off the floor when she wants something and doesn’t feel you are moving fast enough! That doesn’t happen too often, but it is a reminder that she isn’t just a mushy mush – she has spirit, too!
