Harriette’s Agatha Award Nomination

Feb 11, 2016 | Blog

Our very own Harriette Sackler, in addition to being House with a Heart’s Vice President, is also a prolific writer.  We’re very proud to report that she has been nominated for Malice Domestic’s Agatha Award for Best Short Story of 2015!  The Agatha is one of the most prestigious awards presented in the mystery genre.

This is the second time Harriette has been nominated for an Agatha and she’s as thrilled as can be. “Being nominated is enough for me,” Harriette says. The winners in all categories will be announced at the Malice Domestic Convention in Bethesda the first week in May, after more than 500 convention attendees cast their votes.

Harriette is currently working on a book about House with a Heart, which is under contract for publication. “It’s been rather slow going,” she reports, “because the Sanctuary is my heart’s work and writing about the pups, past and present, is so emotionally charged. I’ve loved them all.”
