He was surrendered after the matriarch of his family passed away. We were told that most of his life, he lived in a crate, isolated from the world, brought out only when it was time to breed. Over and over again, his value was measured in the puppies he produced, not in the love he could give as he was kept away from interacting with the other dogs in the home who were free to walk around. 💔💔
💔Six litters. Six chances for his pups to find freedom, joy, and homes of their own. But for him? There was no escape. Just more waiting. More loneliness. Until now
Now Guppy is here, and for the first time in his life, he’s more than a captive breeder dog. He’s just… a dog. A sweet, gentle soul who greets us with soft eyes and a wagging tail, despite everything. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s free. Free to explore, free to heal, free to learn what it means to be part of a family that loves him for him.
The journey ahead won’t be easy. He needs to be neutered, vetted, and given time to adjust to this new world ~ one where he’s not just tolerated but cherished. And while our resident ladies are a little less than thrilled with their new intact housemate, he’s already proving to be a kind and loving little guy.
He deserves this chance. He deserves to know safety, comfort, and kindness. But we can’t do it without you.
