When the kind volunteers at Chesapeake Cats and Dogs rescued senior cat Rain, they figured it could be a long, slow process to find a furever home for a senior kitty with health challenges (overall poor health plus a dental infection). But thanks to a $935 medical grant from the House with a Heart K-9 & Kitty Medical Miracle Fund, and loving care from this Maryland-based rescue team, the story has a very happy ending!
As described by Chesapeake Cats and Dogs: “We are surprised and thrilled to announce that Rain was adopted! Adoptions have been slow, so we weren’t expecting an under socialized senior cat to find a home before young, friendly cats. But this lovely woman wanted to help a cat who would be otherwise passed over, and Rain fit the bill. Congratulations to Rain and his new family!”
