We want to re-introduce you to our K9 and Kitties Medical Miracles program.
Several years ago we embarked on a new way to help Senior and Special needs dogs and cats. We partner with local Rescue Groups who pull a senior or special needs dog or cat from a shelter, and then HWAH provides a grant for the necessary medical care to make that dog or cat ready for their new forever home. These pets often need extensive medical care to prepare them for adoption or foster care.
This program is so important to our mission to help save as many senior dogs and cats abandoned in shelters as we can. These animals are often overlooked because of their age and health issues. Our Rescue Partners are other senior dog and cat lovers who know that these animals have so much more love to give!
We now work with Rescue Partner Groups nationwide, and we’ll continue to increase our partnerships so we can save even more dogs and cats that need medical care in order to find new homes.
In addition, we’ve established a program with United Charitable (a nonprofit specializing in charitable fund administration) to assist us in processing applications and to help ensure that our medical care grants will be available for years to come.
Each Monday we share a story of a Medical Miracle Grant that has helped to save another Senior or Special Needs animal.
This week we are going to share three of our most recent grants during the week.
