From our assistant Director Lori:
“Meet Daisy, our new pup. This young cutie came to House with A Heart a month ago. Her elderly owners moved to Florida and could only take one dog with them, so they left Daisy with a friend to re-home.
Daisy was freaked out and escaped. Teresa, a Good Samaritan set a trap for her and she was caught 5 days later. Teresa called HWAH to help, even though Daisy was a youngster. We wanted to help and accepted her, expecting to find a rescue to re-home her. But Daisy was terrified with all the changes.
And even though I had given myself a break from any new dogs since Poppy left me, I felt connected to Daisy. I wanted to help make her feel safe, so I asked John if we could foster her.
Daisy has attached herself to me immediately. It was a love connection. This 3 yr old was now a part of John’s and my family. She is incredibly smart, loving and adorable! We are excited that John now has a walking partner!
And we got her DNA results and wowsa! She is a hot mess! 23% Maltese, 17.6% Bichon, 15% Shih Tzu, 13% GSD, 12% Lab, 9% Papillon, 9% Lhasa Apso. Oh and 100% adorable!”
