New girl Pearl
Oh sweet Pearl. We are so glad we found you.
Pearl is 17 years young and found her way to us after being surrendered by her owners. It was reported that she couldn’t walk or hold herself up but so far we have found she loves to mosey around. If we didn’t already have a worn dog path from the back door to the front gate, we certainly would now! She’s got that route down pat. Pearl is reportedly use to living outside, which explains her pacing ~ a heartbreaking reality for a dog of her size and breed.
Pearl loves snoozing but never on a cozy dog bed. She has been enjoying thin mats on the floor, but we are hoping we can show her the good life.
She does like to poo her pants and snack on any bits that fall out her nappy… something to work on FAST.
She just started Galliprant and Adequan for her pain and mobility and we are also working on healing her eyes. She’s seeing the ophthalmologist to debride her old ulcer that’s struggling to heal. Luckily she tolerates her eye drops well! She is also a GREAT eater, and seems content in her little world. We are trying to show her the good life.
Special thanks to House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary for connecting us with sweet Pearl and helping cover her medical costs.
HWAH provided a $ 1,485.85.00 grant towards her medical needs.
Thanks to YOUR generosity, our HWAH K-9 & Kitty Medical Miracles Fund was able to help Pearl get the medical care she desperately needed
