From June 13, 2023: “Today is 13-year-old Gremlin’s big spay day! In consultation with the surgeon, and because Gremlin is a high-risk surgical candidate, we determined that the best course of action is to have her diseased uterus removed, but to leave her mammary masses alone for now. Gremlin is an animal cruelty case/survivor, having been pulled by animal control from a drug den.
Many of her myriad infirmities are a direct result of chronic exposure to acrid smoke, the remainder due to neglect. Special thanks to Mindy Farber & John Camp’s FOACASMD.org for rescuing Gremlin, entrusting us with her care, and sponsoring her extensive medical needs!

Background: 13-year-old Pekingese mix Gremlin joined us in early March from FOACAS. She had a whole raft of medical issues having been pulled out of a cruelty situation by Animal Control. Poor Gremlin had an anal tract infection, multiple ophthalmic problems (including ulcers), a sinus infection, a heart condition, and some fiercely rotten teeth!
From May 15th, 2023: “And 13-year-old Gremlin won “Cutest Canine” at Saturday’s Kensington Dog Parade. Thanks to McEnearney Associates Realtors for organizing this delightful event!”
