Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is estimated to be 8–12 years old and weighs only 5 pounds. She was rescued from a breeding facility. When she came to us, this little princess was in rough shape, but with some TLC, she is now blossoming.
Sweet Pea is blind, but that doesn’t stop her from getting around. She loves to explore and will, with time, learn the layout of any new home. She loves other dogs, so much so that you may find her trying to slip into a dog bed to lay close to another dog. Sweet Pea is as quiet and gentle as a flower and will easily transition into a home with other dogs.

Sweet Pea needs to be let out regularly to avoid accidents. You could always put a diaper on her to be extra safe and avoid accidents. A fenced yard is ideal for Sweet Pea because she is blind and is not used to walking on a leash.

We’re hoping to find Sweet Pea a forever home, but until we do, she will stay in our rescue Sanctuary. Finding a forever home for a senior dog with disabilities is like finding a needle in a haystack, so we’re expanding the distance range for our senior dogs who need long-term foster homes. Because this little girl has a disability and because she came from a breeding facility, we ask that applicants have a history of previous dog ownership.
