Spike is a young 17 years old (yes!) and 23 pounds but doesn’t act his age at all! He has pep in his step and is an easy-going guy who is house trained, sleeps all night and enjoys other pups. In his foster home, he enjoys sleeping in comfy doggie beds and lounging next to his foster parents. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house. Spike is good with other dogs and hasn’t made a peep yet in his foster home. Spike is overall healthy for his age and, no surprise, he does have a heart murmur that needs inexpensive daily medication. Spike’s one request is for a home with minimal steps or an adopter who doesn’t mind carrying him up the stairs – stairs are new to this guy.
