Today we are releasing our first installment of our ‘Sanctuary Snippets with Sher’ Series!! In this series, we hope to inspire others to begin their own journey of creating a Senior Pet Sanctuary, even if it means starting off with just one pet!
As one can imagine, it is not an easy job maintaining an entire nonprofit organization that houses roughly 16 dogs at a time. BUT, it CAN be done if you feel that it is your passion and duty in this world to save senior and special needs pets; and our Director Sher is proof of that. Sher will be discussing all the different factors that come into play when running House with a Heart… For example: managing a volunteer network, staying on top of routine veterinary care, running various grant programs, maintaining the Sanctuary and so on!
Our number of pets saved across the length of 20 years may seem minuscule, but each pet that we take in means the WORLD because it is another pet who got a second chance and stayed safe with us until the end. For two decades we have done our absolute best to give these pets a wonderful last chapter by providing them with proper veterinary care, a safe place to call home, and LOVE… And with YOUR help, we will continue to do so for many years to come.
