Did you know that HWAH was a recipient of an official Proclamation from the Montgomery County Council in 2017? We were granted this due to our new Medical Miracles program (at the time) to help save pets who are 12 years and up, and assist our Rescue Partners in getting them adopted. We hope to inspire others to create their own Senior Pet Sanctuaries or Rescues to help give these sweet fur-babies the final chapter full of love that they deserve! “Yesterday we were so honored to be the recipient of an Official Proclamation from Maryland’s Montgomery County Council. Thank you so much for inviting us and for bestowing such an honor upon us. Representing House with a Heart was Lori, Kathleen, Michelle and Emily. As we mentioned in the video, our new program for 2017 is to partner with local rescues to help save Seriously Senior dogs from shelters. We are providing Medical grants, foster homes and posting the pups up for adoption.”
