Lily – special needs

Meet Lily! This sweet stubby legged little girl is looking for her forever home. Our best guess at her breed mix is a Corgi/heeler mix based on their physical traits. Her mom is the cutest little low rider weighing just 25lbs and we expect her babies to be around the same size. They were found in South Texas and landed at the shelter completely filthy. They were so dirty that their mom didn’t even know how to clean her own pups.
Lily loves everyone and everything. She is currently working on crate and potty training, and loves going outdoors. They love all dogs, cats, and kids.
As her foster has gotten to know Lily better, we believe that she might be deaf or hard of hearing. Being a deaf pup does require adopters to spend more time training themselves how to communicate with their deaf pup without startling them. But other than that, she is a typical happy healthy little girl!
If you’re interested in adopting and live in DC, MD, or VA, head on over to our website and fill out a non-binding application at https://www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet
Lily is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. The adopter will need to arrange for the puppy’s spayed/neutered surgery for when the puppy turns 6 months of age, and the cost of the procedure is included in the spay/neuter fee collected at the time of adoption.
