Jinxy

Jinxy is a 16-year-old black beauty whose owner describes as a gentle, affectionate “all around great cat.” The family’s circumstances have changed, and this sweet senior girl needs to find a new home as soon as possible. According to her owner, she is a very typical cat who likes solitude…except when she doesn’t. Sometimes she avoids people, and sometimes she seeks out affection. She is OK with being picked up, although she may jump away with force when she’s had enough. She has lived with a teenager who would pick her up all the time, and she insisted on sleeping in the same bed as that teen.

Jinxy’s favorite things are getting scritches on the head, sharing cuddles (on her terms), and occasionally sleeping on the pillow next to her person. Don’t let her old age fool you. She still occasionally likes to bring out her inner kitten and bat around twist ties and bottle caps on the floor.

Jinxy will tolerate respectful dogs and cats and will let them sniff her when approached non-aggressively. She is not a fan of fast-moving people and will run away if scared.

This mellow girl has good litter box habits. She is up to date on her shots. She has some issues with her thyroid (hyperthyroidism, not unusual in senior cats) and takes daily medication to keep her thyroid levels balanced.
