Furby

Meet Furby

Furby is a tiny, wise, possibly-immortal oracle with cataract crystal-ball eyes that do not merely look at you ~ they peer into your heart and future. We’re still learning his ways, but here’s what we’ve uncovered so far:

Furby loves snacks (preferably delivered with reverence), gentle strolls (exercise but make it elegant), lap time (where he absorbs your secrets), scritches, and plush beds (plural… he has declared several thrones already).

What Furby does not appreciate are clothes (he will not cosplay for your seasonal reels), stairs (the concept of gravity is honestly repulsive), and the treadmill (a torture device created by big CrossFit). He saw it once and immediately expressed his displeasure with a loud complaint to HR. Furby also does not seem to love car rides (perhaps because they mostly involve the V E T); he fares best if he’s in the back seat with a human companion.

Furby does not let his limited vision stop him from anything. He walks with confidence and can handle a couple of small steps, as well as curbs. If there are multiple or steep steps, he’s happy to be carried up and down them instead. He is a great eater and has been reasonably tolerant of the eye and ear meds he’s needed since his arrival; he’ll be done with them soon.

Furby gets along well with other dogs, big or small, and cats. He loves people and is very curious about the world. He enjoys plenty of grass-sniffing time and checking out every inch of the house for possible stray crumbs. He is housetrained, although if he isn’t taken out after a polite request, he may engage in some self-help. He does fine left home alone for reasonable periods of time and is always excited when someone comes to take him out for a potty break.

Overall, he is a charming, otherworldly, friendly boy. Even the things he doesn’t like (such as clothes) he will tolerate, especially if bribed with a treat or two. He has plenty to say about the world and can’t wait to share it with you.

Furby is approximately 12 years old and 9 lbs.
